In every situation or circumstance that appears in your life, you have two options: you can react or you can respond. The option you choose can have a big impact on the quality of your life. If you are constantly reacting to things, you will likely find yourself feeling a lot of anxiety and stress a lot of the time, which makes it very difficult for you to enjoy things. But if you are able to receive situations into your life with a relaxed sense of compassion, and simply respond when required—from a grounded knowing of who you really are—then you will minimize stress, and all of life will brighten and become much more enjoyable in almost every way.
