Everyone likes to be in control—at least some of the time, but most of us realize that real control is simply an illusion of the mind. After all, there are so many variables to consider that we can easily see that no one person has the capability of controlling all of them. And yet, how many of us—out of some unconscious fear of the unknown—try to exert control over situations, circumstances, and the behavior of others, all in an unwitting attempt to keep ourselves safe?
